about

The three members of Shuttermouth - Tina Delacovias on guitar/vocals, Anthony Salvador on guitar/drums and Christopher Tuck on bass/sampling - are by no means freshmen in the music business.

Both Delacovias and Salvador, are former members of the band Cherries for Cannibals, a foursome who had some success on the local circuit.

Add to that Salvador and Tucks' experience as sound engineers and studio owners and you have a new band with a wealth of experience. Experience that shows in the superlative production of Terminally Glad.

The band, after shopping around a variety of labels, found their music wasn't easily understood by the commercially-minded music executives and decided they would go it alone. That decision resulted in the formation of the band's own Punk's Day Off label which released Terminally Glad jointly with Barney Simon's Powerhaus label.

This meant the band was not only responsible for all aspects of song-writing, perfor mance, production, engineering, art work and packaging, but also for all manufacturing and recording costs.

Shuttermouth the word means nothing whatsoever. Shuttermouth the band mean business and if their superb debut album, Terminally Glad, is anything to go by, they are intent on taking no prisoners.
